Members of the community can provide information to Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000, emailing Crime Stoppers at csu@police.nsw.gov.au or by reporting online at www.nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
Since Crime Stoppers began in NSW in 1989, more than 3,000 people have been arrested with more than 10,000 charges laid against them.
During 2008, Crime Stoppers provided information that assisted in the arrest of 550 offenders. Of those arrests 1 related to Homicide, 6 related to Assaults, 4 related to Armed Robbery and 3 related to Stealing offences. 388 people were arrested in relation to Drug matters, 7 were arrested for Fraud matters and 16 for outstanding Warrants. 55 arrests related to Break and Enter and Property offences; and 43 arrests related to Firearm offences.
During
2008, Crime Stoppers received 37,805 calls from members of the
community. 661 other pieces of information were received by email
and through the Crime Stoppers website. 178 people were arrested and
charged with 550 offences. Property to the value of $6,426,750 was
recovered and Drugs to the value of $16,352,308 were seized.
The total number of reports received by NSW Crime Stoppers for
March 2009 was 4688.

During April 2009, information received at Crime Stoppers assisted in the arrest of 24 offenders with 104 charges laid. |
Cabramatta - One person was arrested and charged with possession of pirated DVD's. The total value of the property was $150,000.
Blacktown – One person was arrested and charged with possession and of a prohibited drug. The street value of the drugs was $100,895.
Lake Illawarra - Two people were arrested and charged with possession and supply of a prohibited drug. The total street value of the drugs was $21,613 and property value was $10,800.
